• Just back from a few days away (getting away from the Christmas thing). Ended up bumbling around East Anglia and 'did' the easternmost point of mainland UK as part of the jaunt. Truck has now been to all four extremities of UK mainland.

All worked well, including some new extra insulation panels I've added to the inside of the garage doors. In spite of temperatures at or below freezing we ended up being too warm on a couple of evenings. One night, upon reaching 22 degrees C inside we turned the heating off as an experiment and were very pleased with how the truck maintained a temp of 20+ for a good couple of hours afterwards. Ambient temperature was probably about 3 or 4 degrees C at this time.

Got to some really good camps including one along the BOAT in the pic which proved to be a good test of the new skylight-protecting bash bars I recently fitted.

Tweaks and fixes are an ongoing part of the project. This series of pages form a blog - of sorts - and is intended to give a flavour of the day-to-day realities of living with the truck as issues crop up and tweaks and fixes progress. Many of the posts eventually end up getting written up properly and included in the main body of the Trip Truck site; so if you think you have read any of the older posts somewhere else, you almost certainly have.
