Welcome

This site is meant for anyone who is interested in motorhomes, particularly those that have been modified to enable a high degree of independence in remote areas and / or challenging terrain. It's primarily a chronology of our Trip Truck project: the transformation of an ex army all-wheel drive (4x4) truck into a go-virtually-anywhere mobile home - a transformation that seemingly has no end...

If you're returning to our site and know where you want to go, please choose from the menu items above. If you're following the project and are interested in current tweaks and fixes, the Project Blog page offers diary-style snippets. If you're visiting for the first time, then the Home page is probably the best place to start.

We hope you enjoy your visit. Please recommend the site if you know anyone that might be interested in taking a look:

Motivation

Designing and building a motorhome is not the easiest thing in the world to do and can itself be a roller coaster of a journey. Some days during the build it's been cold, raining, and everything has gone spectacularly wrong. On days like these it's been helpful to focus on what the project is all about. The below snaps are the kinds of things that motivate us; the kinds of things we travel for. As will quickly be realised we don't 'do' urban areas: or photography.
