We're off.
Though it's not a very interesting start. Indeed, the first few days of this trip are going to be mainly about just covering ground.
A late afternoon set-off and an obligatory stop at Stibbington Diner saw us running well into the night and deciding to bale on any attempt to reach Harwich.
And so, we bumbled down a promising looking unclassified road and dove into the first gate hole we found (co-ordinates and pic) to kip for the night.
It turned out to be adequate as a kipping hole, if a little McDonald's-litter-strewn and utterly unprepossessing. Heard tawny owls, too; at least they didn't seem to care about the McSelfishness of our fellow countrymen.
