The general bumbling continued this afternoon and not long into it we decided to have an early finish. We chanced upon a lake where I had a swim (pic) and Emma whizzed out on the bike to find us an overnighting spot. Whilst out and about she spotted red deer and took a (harmless) spill in some loose sand*. The Lord giveth, the Lord taketh away...
She discovered a good spot well off the beaten track (coordinates), where the theme of good butterfly sightings continued. A hemp agrimony plant at the 'camp' constantly supported countless insects, including common blue and silver-washed fritillary butterflies- it even had a visit from a broad-bodied chaser dragonfly.
Lithuania tomorrow.
* The accuracy of 'harmless; is disputed. Emma claims she almost required an air ambulance.
